Fort Telkwa Riverfront Accommodations & RV Campground (Smithers, BC)
South of the city of Smithers is where you’ll find this campground. You’ll have access to full hookup campsites as well as camping along the riverfront. Free WiFi, restroom and laundry facilities for your comfort are both clean and readily available as well. Venture into the Bulkley River (the “riverfront” of the campground’s name) for fishing and recreation. If you’re heading up to Alaska, you’ll find this campground to be the perfect stopping point along your journey to rest and refuel.
‘Ksan Campground (Hazelton, BC)
If you head to the north, you’ll find this cozy resort nestled in the heart of Gitxsan Land, offering no end of scenic landscapes and wilderness for you to explore. Experience the history behind the Gitxsan Nation by walking through the ‘Ksan Historical Village and visiting its accompanying museum. You’ll learn what the area was like hundreds of years ago. Look into local events or simply explore with a long hike through pristine natural beauty. Spacious campsites provide room for every size of rig, so you won’t have to worry about whether your particular RV will fit. Campsites near the river are for dry camping only, so you’ll have to stay further back if you want full hookups.
Shady Rest RV Park (Houston, BC)
Heading south towards Houston, you’ll be within range of this park, which showcases all of British Columbia’s beautiful wilderness. Explore hiking trails, go fishing and appreciate the true stillness of nature. Clean campsites come with child-friendly facilities. Even pets are welcome! You’ll also have access to a restroom and laundry facilities. While resting is encouraged here (as evidenced by the name), there’s also plenty for the intrepid and adventurous traveler to do in order to sate their wanderlust. You can also head into Houston to explore the city.
Prince Rupert RV Campground (Prince Rupert, BC)
Located near Haida Gwaii on British Columbia’s North Coast is the picturesque town of Prince Rupert, which is where you’ll find this campground. It’s conveniently just off Highway 16 and only a mile from the ferry terminal. This land, sea and air transport hub is a popular tourist destination. This RV campground surrounds you with plenty of natural beauty and provides you with some great amenities like a playground, full hookups and WiFi. Relax after a ferry ride or a long hike, or head into the city to investigate local museums, restaurants and other attractions so you can learn more about the history and culture of the region.
